Psychedelic drugs have been known to do great things, kids. Countless acclaimed novels, songs and other artistic masterpieces were created under the influence of psychedelic substances from psilocybin mushrooms, to opium, to LSD. Lesser known, however, is psychedelics' capacity for enhancing athletic performance. Just ask former Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Dock Ellis, who will forever be distinguished in the annals of baseball history for reportedly pitching a no-hitter under the influence of LSD.
