Internet Meme of the Week: Pandemic II

As Dartmouth enters the Spring midterm season, students begin scouring the web for the best procrastination aids available. At the top of that list is "Pandemic II," a global domination strategy game in which players control the evolution of a deadly virus, bacteria or parasite. The game is grim and perverse, as well as incredibly addictive and quite challenging. Players build up their disease's strength while attempting to infect the entire globe, country by country, and whether or not you should use your hard-earned evolution points to invest in drug resistance, waterborne transmission or dementia symptoms is always a tough choice. Nothing takes your mind of studying better than infecting the entire globe with a disease. And while it may take a bit longer to catch on to than, say, "Robot Unicorn Attack," it's much more rewarding in the end.
