Upperclassmen: don't expect to relive the same Homecoming you loved last year. Instead, enjoy this year's celebration and be thankful that you're no longer a member of "the worst class ever."
Freshmen: This weekend is unlike anything you've experienced before Homecoming is the College's way of officially welcoming you to our 240 year-old family a family that you'll love and curse over the next four years, and one that will stay with you for the rest of your lives.
To all Dartmouth students: Homecoming is a time for fun but don't let one definition of that word determine how you spend your weekend. Do what you love, with the people you love. If that involves getting decked out in face paint and running around a burning pile of wood with 1,000 of your closest friends, go for it. But if you would prefer to sleep late, check out the football game and spend a chill night hanging out with a few close friends, then that's great too.
We hope to see you out on campus this weekend, whether you are running around the bonfire, writing your thesis in the 1902 room or dancing in a dimly lit frat basement. And if you run into President Kim, tell him we said to touch the fire.
