April 9, 9:50 a.m.

College Street

A woman called Hanover Police to report that her son had been bitten by a dog on the Dartmouth campus. After investigation, police discovered that the dog belonged to Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. No charges were pressed because the boy's wounds were superficial, and the dog had been properly vaccinated.

April 9, 9:36 p.m.

East Wheelock Street

Hanover Police received a call from Safety and Security regarding a 50-year-old man accessing pornography from a computer in the Hopkins Center for the Arts. Police arrived on the scene to question the man, but did not press charges since child pornography was not involved.

April 12, 1:43 a.m.

West Wheelock Street

A Hanover Police officer on patrol observed two female Dartmouth students walking from Psi Upsilon Fraternity. One student was stumbling and appeared to be intoxicated, and the other was holding her up. As the intoxicated student was 20 years of age, the officer arrested her for unlawful possession of alcohol. Due to her level of intoxication, the fire department was called to evaluate the student's condition. Officials decided to transport her to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. The student is not eligible for the diversion program due to a prior arrest, and will appear in court on May 11.

April 17, 12:23 p.m.

Lot 1

Hanover Police received a call from a Hanover resident, alerting them that three golden retrievers had been left alone in a car. The police investigated this claim, and determined that the windows of the car had been left open enough for the dogs to be safe. No charges were pressed.

April 19, 4:08 p.m.

South Street

A Hanover resident called Hanover Police to complain about a group of children skateboarding on South Street. Skateboarding in the downtown Hanover area is illegal. Hanover Police arrived on the scene to issue the group a warning, but did not press charges.

April 19, 1:46 a.m.

School Street

A Hanover Police officer on patrol noticed a female squatting and urinating on the side of School Street early last Sunday morning. As the officer approached the girl, she pulled up her pants and ran away, leading the officer to chase after her. The girl claimed to be 18 years of age, but the officer later discovered that she was a 16-year-old visiting her sister, a Dartmouth student. The officer determined that the girl was intoxicated and charged her with unlawful possession of alcohol. Her court date is set for June 1.

April 19, 11:34 p.m.

South Main Street

A 29-year-old male entered India Queen restaurant and began to act in a disorderly manner, causing a disturbance in the restaurant. The restaurant's owner asked the man to leave after he began to use foul language. The man then began assaulting the owner. The fight was broken up before either party incurred any injuries. Hanover Police arrested the man and charged him with disorderly conduct. He is due to appear in court on June 1.
