The Ivy League baseball championship series between Dartmouth (24-15, 15-5 Ivy) and Columbia (20-24, 15-5 Ivy) has been postponed until Tuesday afternoon. The Big Green will face the Lions in two games, and a third game is scheduled for Wednesday in the event of a tie.
Poor weather in the Hanover area began on Friday night and lingered until Saturday morning.
Officials originally moved the start time for Saturday's games from noon to 1 p.m., but shortly before the first pitch the entire series was moved to Tuesday.
Dartmouth, the Red Rolfe division champions, looks to win its first Ivy title under head coach Bob Whalen. Columbia finished first in the Lou Gehrig division.
Though Columbia and Dartmouth had matching conference records, the Big Green earned home field advantage by virtue of its better winning percentage against the Ivy League's third-best team, Princeton (20-22, 11-9 Ivy). Dartmouth was 2-0 against the Tigers, while Columbia split with Princeton earlier in the spring.
