To the Editor:
One year ago I had my say regarding magazine rankings of colleges ("Downgrading College Ranking Publications," Sept. 22, 2004). I continue to be baffled that people treat the rankings as some objective measure of an institution's worth.
With reference to the letters in Wednesday's issue of The Dartmouth, take heart, you repetitive #9's. The Delphic seer at the Wall Street Journal proclaimed the Tuck School of Business #1 in the nation on Wednesday. Maybe some of those Tuck #1's can devise a marketing strategy to kick the undergraduate placement up a few notches.
