To the Editor:
I am writing to protest the dismissal of Mitzi from Dartmouth Dining Services. As a recent alumna, I remember well the many days of getting back poor test grades or stressing before projects and midterms. College is not an easy part (and sometimes painful part) of one's life. Mitzi understood this and her warm, wonderful sense of humor was always welcome. While the faces of most of the dining staff have faded to a blur in my memory over the last few years, her face is still crystal clear. Mitzi meant a lot to me personally and made Dartmouth a more pleasant place for me to live. I sincerely hope that the management considers reversing their unfortunate decision so that future Dartmouth students can also have the opportunity to enjoy Mitzi's warmth and kindness.
