To the Editor:
Regarding the Nov. 1 article in The Dartmouth, "Will attacks end before Ramadan?," I feel that Ramadan should not be an issue in deciding whether or not to suspend or end our bombing campaign against Afghanistan. Will bin Laden pause his terror campaign so that Americans can celebrate Christmas? I think not. This article is typical of the press today, who seem to focus only on the insignificant number of civilians killed in the U.S. bombings of Afghanistan. They seem to forget the thousands of Americans murdered on Sept. 11 as they badger White House and military officials with inappropriate questions, and publish articles such as this one.
