Snider named to marketing position

Dartmouth's athletic department received a new member yesterday when Ryan Snider was named assistant director of athletics for marketing and promotions. Snider will take over his new duties on June 4.

Snider is a marketing specialist who has worked at several other colleges since his graduation from Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y. in 1996. Snider began his professional career as an assistant manager for ticket, marketing and promotions at Cornell University in 1996.

He was later promoted to director of ticket sales and operations as well as marketing and events coordinator.

Snider moved to Villanova University in August of 1999. In the Wildcats athletic department he served as coordinator of marketing, promotions and special events.

Snider became area direcor for Skyhawks Sports Academy in Boston, Mass. In June of 2000.

Snider has also worked with a former minor league affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, the Watertown Indians. He also worked for Atlanta Olympic Games in 1996.

Here at Dartmouth, Snider will be responsible for a vast range of marketing and promotions intiatives dealing with ticket revenues, contest promotions, corporate partnerships and game management.
