Here is how the teams the Big Green will face this weekend have done so far.
Brown
The Brown Bears started the year off with a 1-4 record. Tough road games against Boston College and UConn left the team with a 22-point average margin of defeat.
A trip to West Point turned things around for the Bears as they edged the Army Cadets 89-82. A trip across town to rival Providence College provided Brown with an embarrassing 110-59 loss.
A solid 81-61 rout of Elon College gave the team some life, but could not boost them to a victory over Holy Cross, as Brown fell to the Crusaders 76-69.
The 3-6 start did not dismay the preseason seventh place pick, as the Bears have opened the year with consecutive victories. A 79-74 victory at Lehigh was followed by an 81-62 trouncing of Maine.
Games against Stony Brook and Northeastern are all that remain out of league for the 5-6 Bears.
Yale
The Bulldogs opened the year 1-4, including a 20-point loss to Ohio State. Yale then chalked up its second home victory of the year over Colgate 56-41.
Leaving the comfort of New Haven, the Eli's lost four consecutive road games. A 93-90 overtime loss to Vermont was followed by a narrow 68-63 loss to URI.
An entry in the University of California Tournament produced a 76-62 loss to host Cal and an 85-77 loss in the consolation game to Lafayette. The Bulldogs closed out 2000 with a 2-8 record.
Yale opened up the New Year in impressive style winning their first road game 64-61 at Army. A heart-breaking loss at Holy Cross, 55-50, left the Bulldogs at 3-9, with only a visit from Penn State remaining on their non-league schedule.
Yale will have its work cut out for it to beat the preseason media poll that placed them last in the Ivy League.
