Women's soccer loses at Hartford

The Hartford Hawks defeated the Dartmouth women's soccer team Wednesday night in a tournament of regionally ranked teams in Hartford, Conn.

The Hawks' Susie Woodson scored the winning goal in the 111th minute, ending the game 2-1. Dartmouth goalie Kristin Luckenbill '01 had six saves for Dartmouth, but could not block Woodson's winning goal.

The Big Green fell behind 1-0 as Hartford's Katharine Lindmer scored the first goal of the game past Luckenbill.

Dartmouth then tied the game at 1-1 as Jen Murray '01 scored off of Hartford goalie Anne Lise Nilssen.

Dartmouth (10-4) is currently ranked number two in the Northeast region, while Hartford (14-2) ranks fourth. Those rankings may flip-flop after this matchup.

The Big Green return to the field this Sunday to play nationally ranked -- at number 11 -- Harvard (also 10-4), which is the top-ranked team in the Northeast. If the Big Green win this match, they have a chance of claiming the Ivy League title.
