The Dartmouth coed sailing team secured a berth in the ICYRA National Team Championships, by placing second at the New England Championships held last weekend at the Coast Guard Academy.
The Big Green finished behind Harvard (17-4) after going 15-6. MIT placed third with a 13-8 record on the weekend. Harvard and Dartmouth both advanced to the national tournament, which will be held at St. Mary's College in Maryland from May 31 to June 2.
The women's team brought home a win from the Regis Bowl regatta held on Lake Mascoma last Saturday. The team defeated teams from Tufts, BU, and Bowdoin.
The sailors also captured the New England Series Five race held at Boston College.
The Dartmouth sailors will host the New England Championships at Lake Mascoma this Saturday and Sunday in a qualifying event for the National Championships. The top four teams receive an automatic berth.
