Disabled ski team named

Dartmouth's own Sarah Billmeier '99, who won three gold medals at the World Disabled Championships last winter, was one of 28 athletes named to the U.S. Disabled Ski Team for the 2001 season yesterday.

The 22-year-old from Yarmouth, Maine has won six World Championsip gold medals and seven Paralympics gold medals.

"This upcoming season will be my 10th year on the team," Billmeier said. "But the honor of being able to represent your country doing something you love never fades. I hope the season goes well for both myself and my teammates."

Among the other alpine racers named to the team was Carl Burnett '03, a staff writer for The Dartmouth.
