Many of us were caught up in the frenzy of last year's protests and rallies, the lack of parties and the sense of chaos on campus, yet even so the weekend proved to be something special -- a break from everyday routine.
Winter in Hanover, forcibily reminds you that the College is somewhat cut off from the rest of the world. This weekend celebrates this isolation; it provides a rare opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Dartmouth's setting.
Half the school hasn't seen a real Winter Carnival, but the tradition still fosters a sense of nostalgia in every Dartmouth student.
