I am dumbfounded that the appearance of Christian materials in students' mailboxes could be treated as a "danger" warranting the sending of a warning letter to these students. I find it difficult to believe that objections to the campus Christian group's mailing are not evidence of anti-Christian bias. During my four years at the College I received probably hundreds of flyers, advertisements, etc., promoting a left-wing agenda with which I did not agree, and I never complained publicly, nor do I recall anyone complaining publicly. Now, a Christian group has the audacity to employ the same tactics, and the shrill cries of condemnation ring out.
The parallels with mailings sent by campus homosexual groups in the past are interesting -- I can remember several messages which encouraged "curious" students to try homosexuality to see whether they enjoyed it. Yet I do not recall anyone complaining about this "conversion" attempt.
