To the Editor:
I read Wednesday's article on the Student Assembly ["Assembly supports locked door policy," The Dartmouth] with horror, but without surprise. I find it appalling that the Student Assembly would vote to lock dorm room doors, saying the whole time that "students wouldn't want that." I was particularly shocked at those who said that and then voted in favor of the policy. Though I have given up hope that the self-serving and smug Assembly will ever consider the thoughts of the student body as a whole, it seems pointless to go directly against the student body. Who are they serving exactly, besides themselves?
