To the Editor:
I am disappointed once again that Dartmouth's incoming class will be labeled "the best ever," a claim supported by ever-stretched data and near interpolations. I believe that such discourse, worn out in the history of every college, becomes hackneyed and trite, belittling the ideal character of this institution, where the uniqueness of each new class is not rationalized, but embraced. Instead, the administration and your flunky publication employ that nauseating and shopworn title, "best ever." I shall not belie the genuine spirit of students here at Dartmouth through such objectifications, and I look forward to more genuine reporting in the future.
