Your article announcing the cancellation of the Fall 1996 Foreign Study Program in Fez, Morocco may have created some confusion about the future of this program. I want to clarify that the Fez FSP is scheduled to run in Fall 1997, and that I am scheduled to lead it. The Fez program offers a remarkable opportunity for students interested in a broad range of cultural studies. My own focus will be on an ethnography of Islamic music, and students will be welcome to work with me as well as to pursue their own interests. I invite further inquiries, or to learn more about the 1997 program, come to the Off-Campus Programs Fair on October 10.
