To the Editor:
Tonight at 8 p.m. on the Green will be a "Candlelight Vigil for Acceptance and Understanding: An Appeal to the Intellect." Professor Steve Cornish will be speaking and will then lead a candle-lighting ceremony. This will be followed by reflections from students cosponsoring the event. Hot Cider will be served, and the event will be closed by the Rockapellas.
The event is sponsored by Tri-Delt, and cosponsored by: Alpha Phi Alpha, Tri-Kap, Sigma Nu, Sig Ep, Zete, IFC, Theta Delt, EKT, CFSC, KDE, DG, Sigma Delta, Beta, SAE, Chi Heorot, Chi Gamma Epsilon, Alpha Delta, KKG, AXA, Panhellenic Council and Delta Sigma Theta. Funding is provided by the Programming Board.
This is a rare opportunity to see the Greek Organizations on campus unify to speak out against intolerance and racism on the Dartmouth campus. It promises to be unique in presentation, while it is an opportunity for the entire Dartmouth campus to come together in an intellectual manner to address the issues of acceptance and understanding of one another.
