The men's and women's track teams were back in action this weekend at the 27th Annual Dartmouth Relays, making a successful debut to the indoor season.
The Big Green were among more than 3,000 athletes who descended upon Leverone Fieldhouse for the three-day event.
In the field events, Lane Burks '97 led the way with two second place finishes, leaping 23 feet in the long jump and 49 feet, 4.75 inches in the triple jump. His triple jump was a personal record by two feet. Dave Bensinger '98 finished sixth in the long jump with a mark of 21 feet, nine inches.

The performance of the meet for the men was turned in by a freshman, Greg Johnston. Last year's winner of the pentathlon defended his title, this year competing for the Big Green. He scored 3,676 points, over 300 more then the second place finisher.

The women jumpers were just as impressive as the throwers. Pilar Rodriguez '97 placed eighth in the in the long jump and ninth in the triple jump, and Audra Rovinski '99 placed eighth in the high jump.
