To the Editor:
I couldn't help noticing that the headline having to do with the Dartmouth Night bonfire was incorrect. The 1995 bonfire was not the 100th bonfire. For many years, every home football game was preceded by a bonfire, and so the bonfire on Oct. 20, 1995 was not the 100th. In fact, one must assume that Dartmouth has had many more than 100 bonfires. Not to worry: This was an error that many speakers during Dartmouth night -- including those who certainly should have known better -- made.
