To the Editor:
Dan Richman's column of Feb.2 ("Support a Greek Evaluation") concludes "So the moral is: All we are saying is give Greeks a chance."
Richman neglects to look beyond his brief three year presence here and see the history behind the Greek system and the College. The Greek system has been around for more than 100 years - most of them without any questioning from the students, because of its hegemonic grip upon Dartmouth's social life.
In Richman's short stint here at Dartmouth, the system has come under attack. This does not mean that the system has not been given a chance. In fact, it has been given a very fair chance. We don't need to be patient anymore.
