Volleyball wins two out of three games in California season opener

Big Green volleyball kicked off its season at the University of California, Irvine Invitational on Sept. 2 and 3. On Friday, the team won the opening game against Sacred Heart University in a four-set game (23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-21). On Saturday, the Big Green won the second game in three straight sets (25-12, 25-8, 25-15) against College of the Holy Cross but came away short 0-3 against UC Irvine (25-19, 25-12, 25-23).



Women’s lacrosse head coach aids a stunning Team USA win at 2022 World Lacrosse Women’s World Championship

On July 9, Big Green women’s lacrosse head coach Alex Frank helped lead the the U.S. women’s lacrosse team to a gold medal in the 2022 World Lacrosse Women’s World Championship as assistant coach. For the first time in the championship’s history, the host team won the championship with the U.S. winning on home turf in Maryland. The game had been postponed since July 2021 due to the pandemic. 


Q&A with Trevor Michelson, interim head coach of men’s lightweight rowing

After five years as assistant coach, Trevor Michelson recently took over the men’s lightweight rowing team as interim head coach following Dan Roock’s retirement. The Dartmouth sat down with Michelson to discuss his transition to head coach, the team’s return after its elimination and subsequent reinstatement in 2020 and his plans for the upcoming season.



Three track and field athletes travel to Indiana to compete in NCAA East Region Preliminaries

This past week, three track and field athletes traveled to the University of Indiana in Bloomington, Ind. to compete in the NCAA East Region Preliminaries. Jake Dalton ’23 and Myles Schreck ’22 competed in the hammer throw, and Julia Fenerty ’23 ran the 800-meter race.






Football’s Niko Mermigas ’21 and Seth Walter ’21 chase NFL hopes at Dartmouth’s 2022 Pro Timing Day

On April 5, Dartmouth hosted the 2022 Pro Timing Day for draft-eligible players. Seth Walter ’21 and Niko Mermigas ’21 — both of whom played for Dartmouth this past fall season — as well as Nigel Alexander ’20, Caylin Parker ’20, Isiah Swann ’20 and University of New Hampshire’s Evan Horn all participated in the event.


Big Green softball kicks off regular season during spring break

Over spring break, Dartmouth’s softball team headed south for its season opener with a doubleheader at Georgia State University on March 17. After losing 9-0 and then 6-0  in the two games, the Big Green competed in the University of Georgia Classic on March 19 and 20. On the first day, Dartmouth fell to No. 16 Georgia 11-2 and to Mercer University 10-2. The following day, Dartmouth suffered another loss to the University of Illinois 9-1 but got revenge on Mercer, winning the second game of the weekend against the team 5-0.
