Then they quickly rebounded for an inspiring 62-53 victory at Princeton University the following night.
And the wins just keep on coming. The women's basketball team rocked and rolled its way to two more victories this past weekend, beating Columbia University, 62-40, on Friday night and Cornell Universitybest, 63-47, the following evening.
It involves kegs, ice and cold weather. Yep, Psi Upsilon fraternity's annual keg jumping competition is definitely Dartmouth.
If people still doubted that the Dartmouth women's basketball team was for real, they've certainly changed their minds by now.
The Big Green will begin a crucial two-game road swing tonight when they square off against two-time defending Ivy League champion Brown University (9-6 overall, 3-0 Ivy League). Tomorrow night, Dartmouth faces Yale University (9-6 overall, 1-2 Ivy League).

With 10 minutes left in the second half of last night's women's basketball game against Rhode Island, Betsy Gilmore '94 fired a routine pass to Brandi Jones '95 on the wing. On a normal night, the sure-handed Jones would catch the ball and in one fluid motion swish a three-pointer.
