Dartmouth women's soccer midfielder Chrissy Lozier '14 received her second Ivy League Rookie of the Week award in three weeks following the Big Green's season-ending 1-0 win against Cornell University. Crossing the ball to Aly O'Dea '12 in the 67th minute, Lozier helped deliver the only goal Dartmouth needed to beat Cornell and secure second place in the Ivy League. Lozier recorded a point in each of the last three games of the season. She ended her first Dartmouth season with three goals and three assists. She is also the only Ivy League freshman to win the Rookie of the Week award more than once.

If you were asked to name the top five biggest falls from grace in the public's eye over the past decade, what names would you come up with? If this was Family Feud, I'm confident the top three answers would look something like this Tiger Woods, LeBron James and Michael Vick. After that it gets pretty tough. Maybe you could argue Eliot Spitzer, but he wasn't as famous as those guys. Or even George Bush, but he was never as universally revered, or as universally loathed, as those three guys.

Heading on the road for the first time all year, the Dartmouth women's ice hockey team sought to gauge where it stand among the nation's top teams. After splitting its weekend set 1-1, the Big Green found that it must work hard to be in the running for a League title.

Multiple Dartmouth varsity athletes were given All-Ivy Honors this week. Women's volleyball player Madeline Baird '12 was named Ivy League Player of the Week after matches against Columbia University and Cornell University. In the Columbia game, Baird recorded 14 kills and 14 digs, and notched an impressive 21 kills in Dartmouth's triumph over Cornell. Baird has had double-digit kills in 20 of 21 matches this season, and her average of 3.98 kills per set is the second highest in the conference. This week's award is Baird's second Player of the Week recognition this season. Football player Shawn Abuhoff '12 was named Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week. Abuhoff earned the recognition after an 82-yard punt return for a touchdown at Dartmouth's Homecoming game against Harvard University. Abuhoff's lengthy return also put him in the Big Green record books as the second all-time in combined kick and punt-return yardage, with 1,630 yards to his name. This week's recognition was Abuhoff's fourth weekly League award in his career at Dartmouth. Varsity men's soccer forward Lucky Mkosana '12 was named Ivy League Co-Player of the Week alongside Princeton University's Matt Sanner. Both players scored a game-winning goal for their respective teams during the past weekend's Ivy play. Mkonsana's game-winning goal came during Dartmouth's 2-1 Homecoming victory over Harvard. Mkosana is the Big Green's fifth all-time scorer with 53 points.

On a chilly Saturday, the Big Green (10-7, 3-4 Ivy) fell 4-2 to the Big Red (11-5, 5-2 Ivy). Cornell started quickly, scoring a minute into the game on its first shot a give-and-go between two Big Red seniors off of a penalty corner. Head coach Amy Fowler said she felt that the early deficit shaped the tone of the game.

The men's cross country team finished second while the women took seventh at the Ivy Heptagonal Championships in New York City on Friday. The race consisted of 12 runners from each of the eight Ivy League schools and is smaller than most other meets.

Centenari bested all four of his opponents in straight sets on the way to the first-place finish. In the first round, he beat freshman Edwin Zhang of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology 6-4, 6-3. In the next match against Brown University sophomore Mike Hill, Centenari delivered a 6-4, 6-2 win.

Over the weekend, Dartmouth's Ultimate Frisbee team traveled to Harvard University and won the Ivy League Ultimate Frisbee Championship of the Ultimate Observer's Association. The eight-team tournament consisted of several Ivies, Tufts University and Brandeis University. Dartmouth went undefeated for the weekend and won the championship game against Brandeis, 15-11, on Sunday. Co-captain Sam Snow '11 said he was impressed by the resiliency of the team, which came off a disappointing loss to Tufts in the finals of a tournament last week held at University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Despite the strong winds and a relatively young team, the Dartmouth Pain Train played confidently throughout, with notable performances from the six freshmen on the team, according to coach Brook Martin. The Big Green's ultimate frisbee team will travel to Brown University next weekend. After the Ivy League Championship, the team will head to South Carolina on Nov. 20 to compete in the UOA's National Championships.
