The No. 64 Dartmouth women's tennis team fell 5-2 in a road contest at Boston University on Saturday. The Big Green's third consecutive loss dropped the team to 10-4 on the year.

The No. 63 Dartmouth women's tennis team collected three wins in five matches during its Spring Break trip to Florida. The Big Green emerged victorious in its first three contests, downing Broward Community College, the University of the Pacific and Florida Atlantic University, before falling to a pair of nationally ranked foes in Florida International University and the University of South Florida.

The Dartmouth: You are a renowned baseball commentator, and there are many key issues to address as opening day approaches. First, I have a logistical question: are there any other teams currently in Major League Baseball outside of the Yankees or Red Sox? Has everyone else been demoted to the minor leagues or something? The No. 75 Dartmouth women's tennis team rolled through a pair of home matches Saturday, topping Colgate 6-1 in the morning before blanking the University of Maryland-Baltimore Country 7-0 in the afternoon session. With the wins, the Big Green improved its record to 7-1 on the campaign.

It was a landmark day for the women's tennis team Tuesday, as the new Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings not only saw the return of the Big Green to the national rankings, but also co-captains Jayme Ahmed '05 and Sarah McNally '05 garnered the No. 56 spot in the national doubles standings.

The Dartmouth women's tennis team headed west for its first away matches of the winter season, facing off against Drake University and No. 68 University of Missouri. Saturday's tilt against Drake resulted in a convincing 6-1 win for the Green; however, Missouri edged Dartmouth 4-2 the next day, dealing the Big Green its first loss of the campaign.

The Dartmouth women's tennis team dominated the A singles flight during the weekend's Big Green Invitational, occupying three of the four tournament semifinals slots and producing its first victor in four years. Jayme Ahmed '05, Margaret Fitchet '08 and Maggie Suydam '08 reached the event's final four, and Ahmed and Fitchet advanced to the finals, where the teammates were crowned co-champions.

The outstanding doubles play of co-captains Jayme Ahmed '05 and Sarah McNally '05 led the Big Green at last weekend's Wilson/ITA Eastern Regional Tennis Championships in Philadelphia, Penn. The super seniors advanced to the quarterfinals of the elite draw, knocking off a pair of seeded teams on the way.
