Dae Zhen — Friday

Koryn Ternes: Since it is week nine and finally Friday, I thought this song was an appropriate pick. Los Angeles rapper dae zhen (aka Drew Lawrence) celebrates life's small victories in this track from his forthcoming album, “Not Nostalgiatic”. Inspired by Kanye West's early 2000's tracks, "Friday" serves up a variety of instrumentation with a dash of hopefulness. This song's chill vibes make it perfect for celebrating that night off (finally).

Nico & Vinz (ft. Kid Ink & Bebe Rexha) — That’s How You Know

Katie Hake: Nico & Vinz are calling out my week nine feels with "That's How You Know"—all the stress ofcatching up on readings right nowis how I know I messed up this term.Alternatively, this song can be pegged as a feel-good jam as we go into finals — even if you're freaking out in Novack at 4 a.m. before your exam, be comforted by the fact that Magic Mike doesn't have your key. Or something. Either way, the catchy beat will pump you up for taking on the end of the term.

Missy Elliott (ft. Pharrell Williams) — WTF (Where They From)

Jessica Zischke: Missy Elliott is my queen, and this song and music video only reinforce that. The video, released Thursday, is her first music video in seven years (!!) (LINK http://www.theverge.com/2015/11/12/9722452/missy-elliott-pharrell-wtf-where-they-from-music-video). The song itself is catchy and she once again proves her dominance with the quick, quippy lyrics. Plus the music video features hoverboard breakdancing, a scarily realistic Pharrell puppet and Missy killing the game in all senses. Do you really need anything else to celebrate how close the end of the term is??
