All Put Together: Dressing Up for Finals

It’s finals time, and we all know what that means: it’s time to dress up and impress your classmates while you pretend to study on FFB.

Nobody ever says this, but finals are like fashion week at Dartmouth. It’s the time when students can finally express themselves and truly be liberated through their clothes.

First things first, let’s start with your hair. The whole “I haven’t showered in about a week” look was the entire rave at New York Fashion Week this fall. To make this look work for you, avoid a brush and always put your hair up in a ponytail. Don’t worry about hairspray; you won’t need it with all that grease that’s accumulated in your hair throughout reading period.

Sweatpants are always a good look. Stained sweatpants are something to be proud of. It’s your way of telling your peers, “Yeah, I studied for Chem 5 and ate a Billy Bob at the same time. That’s right, I can multitask.” Own those stained sweatpants.

To go with your forest green Dartmouth sweatpants that you bought from the Co-op at the beginning of freshman year, try some chestnut UGGs. This look is one of my personal favorites. This outfit really makes your legs look amazing. And the color combination of forest green and chestnut will make you feel one with nature.

Finally, break out that Patagonia fleece that you haven’t washed all term to top off the whole ensemble. You don’t want to be too gross, so make a rotation. We all know you own at least five Patagonia fleeces. Every three days, wear a different fleece.
