All Put Together

There is no right or wrong style. Everyone has a different approach and perception on what is fashion. This year, I want to focus more on what fashion means to you and less on what it means to me.

Arianna Lee ’16 caught my eye at Collis with this long sea foam green dress and bow tie necklace. Her accessories are bold but don’t overpower the dress. I decided to ask her a few questions about her outfit.

Where did you get your dress and jewelry?

I got it at Forever 21. The bow tie necklace is also from Forever 21. The shoes and earrings are from Target. You’ll notice that there’s a pattern.

What are you thinking of when you get dressed?

It takes me a little bit to get dressed because I run outfits through my head. I style my outfits around my jewelry. It limits it down. Like, if I wear my gold bow tie I’ll find outfits that go with it.

What piece of jewelry did you use to wear with this outfit?

I just put on this dress because I thought it going to be the last hot day. Actually, I did three outfit changes.

The first one was too hot. This one is flowy and cool, so it was perfect.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Her style is fun, elegant and somewhat conservative. She likes a lot of clothes from seventies, so that rubbed off on me.

You mentioned your mom’s style. How does her style inspire you?

Her style is fun, classy and somewhat conservative. She likes a lot of clothes from seventies, so that rubbed off on me.

My style is eclectic. I have to describe it as that because I have an outfit to match my different moods and what I’m feeling that day. Sometimes I just want to look a little more preppy and sporty.
