13X Cribs: 8 School St.
8 School St., conveniently located two minutes from Collis Center, is housing ten sisters of Sigma Delta sorority this summer.
The house, which Laura Vang ’15 calls a “hop-skip-leap” from the sorority’s physical plant, can be found adjacent to the Hanover Church of Scientology and across from Panarchy undergraduate society.
Though the building turns 130 this year, thankfully, it’s been updated. A fully installed kitchen sits adjacent to a cozy den inside the three-story house. Common areas include a TV room on the first floor and a porch out front. The house is also equipped with a large basement for laundry and storage.
Vang’s favorite aspect of living in 8 School has been enjoying the company of nine of her friends. She also spends time on the house’s porch – the ideal summertime haven for activities such as snacking and studying.
