13X Cribs: C-house

C-house, the third building in the infamous ABCD row on West Wheelock Street, houses six students, often members of Psi Upsilon fraternity.

The layout of the building mirrors that of the rest of the complex. A living room (read: man cave) lies directly off the entrance, complete with worn-in, inviting couches and a large flat-screen TV. The rest of the first floor includes a bedroom and a decently sized, though island-less, kitchen. Two bathrooms and three bedrooms are on the second floor, while the basement has the final two bedrooms and a storage area.

The kitchen and living room are both air-conditioned, a rare amenity in off-campus housing, and the house’s four parking spaces mean that residents can avoid trudging up the dreaded West Wheelock hill in sweltering summer heat.

The house’s quirkiest feature is its quote wall, an assortment of off-kilter jokes and remarks from current and former residents, tenant Ralph Scozzafava ’15 said.

Members of the sailing and ski teams occupied the house throughout last year and the lease has remained with Psi U members this summer.
