DDS Detective: Apple Moons

By Priya Krishna, The Dartmouth Senior Staff | 9/16/12 8:00pm

Late Night Collis has its own unique culture: there are the people that come at exactly 9:30 p.m. only to be sorely disappointed by the fact that LNC doesn't open until 9:35 p.m., the people who inhale two servings worth of pasta in sample cups while trying to decide what they want, even the people who just fill a large cup with chicken fingers and douse it with ranch dressing.

Freshman fall, I in fact thought that Late Night Collis was an exclusive club and you needed an invitation to eat there. I wish I was joking, but I am not. Needless to say, whether it has been late nights editing at The D or in One Wheelock writing a paper, Late Night Collis and I have been through a lot.

This recipe can be made any time of the day at Collis Cafe, but I have found that it works best as a great late night snack that is healthy, filling and will certainly satisfy your sweet tooth.

Apple Moons

1. Grab an apple and ask one of the people behind the counter to slice it into a few pieces.

2. Grab two containers of peanut butter and a cup of granola doused with a few shakes of cinnamon.

3. Smear a generous amount of peanut butter on each apple "moon," and roll it in the granola and cinnamon so that it sticks.
