I think I may have given myself a little too much credit. But judging by the popularity of the river docks, mass blitzes inviting friends to go on hikes and an astonishing number of class offerings that involve the outdoors, it seems many members of the Class of 2014 have embraced Hanover's wild surroundings.
This week The Mirror considers how to take advantage of the great outdoors. From city-dwellers to DOC regulars, our classmates have weighed in on why being outside is such an important part of sophomore summer and explored a variety of ways to enjoy the Upper Valley. I hope this issue encourages you to get outside and breathe in some fresh New Hampshire air, in whatever way feels right to you. I've promised myself I'll hike Moosilauke at least once. Make your own goals, and hopefully we'll see each other on the trail.
