College President Jim Yong Kim was ranked ninth on Fast Company magazine's 2011 "Most Creative People in Business" list, published in the magazine's June issue. The list ranks the 100 most influential, innovative individuals in business, government, film, the arts and other industries. A profile of Kim, included in the rankings, commends his commitment to improving the establishment of health care programs throughout the developing world, specifically mentioning his role in the creation of Dartmouth's Center for Health Care Delivery Science. The rankings, which include honorees from across the world, show that "creativity is not formulaic," Robert Safian, editor of Fast Company, said in a College press release. The College's 2011 Commencement speaker, comedian and talk show host Conan O'Brien, placed eighth on the list.

He currently serves as the Ralph and Richard Lazarus Professor of Anthropology at the College and as a Carnegie Foundation Fellow.
The University of Vermont Board of Trustees removed Rachel Kahn-Fogel wife of University of Vermont President Daniel Fogel from her post as a volunteer development event planner after discovering an intimate personal relationship between Kahn-Fogel and Associate Vice President for Development and Alumni Affairs Michael Schultz, the Burlington Free Press reported. The Board called for Kahn-Fogel's suspension while a review is conducted to determine whether the alleged relationship violated university rules. The review, which will be conducted by university officials and outside auditors and lawyers, will assess if "UVM funds were misused in connection with the conduct of Kahn-Fogel and Schultz," a statement released by UVM spokesman Enrique Corredera said. The review will also examine if Schultz's dissertation, which explored the role of college and university presidents' spouses in fundraising efforts, was influenced improperly by Schultz's relationship with Kahn-Fogel, the Free Press reported.
