How long is 10 weeks, really? A recreational soccer season lasts about 10 weeks. And there are roughly 10 weeks between Groundhog Day and Earth Day. Then there's a Dartmouth term. A whopping (?) 10 weeks long.
Ten weeks seems like a long time when you consider that it takes nicotine only 10 seconds to reach the brain after it's inhaled. And prokaryotes can asexually reproduce in 10 minutes. (Git er dun.) Then again, the iPod was launched 10 years ago.
So, is a 10-week term a century long or exceedingly short? Unclear. We may be knee-deep in midterms, but '13s take heart less than 10 weeks till sophomore Summer.
