Editor's Note

All week I schemed, sketching out my pivotal contribution to campus conversation. And here it is. But now what? We editors have each won a battle in a war that had never even been formally declared.

Does such closet competitiveness define the College? Outright rivalry certainly does not. You'll probably never burn your high-performing peer's textbook to soften a curve, and you'll hopefully never deny lecture notes to a questionably sick classmate.

That said, are we actually unconcerned with one-upping our over-achieving peers? This week's Mirror explores campus competition or lack thereof. When is it okay to brag a little, and when is it downright douchey? Disclaimer: Mirror writers may have a distorted perception of when it's okay to brag.
