Psi U, Theta Delt charged with serving minors

In a continuing string of police charges against Dartmouth Greek organizations, Hanover Police announced this morning that they have served Theta Delta Chi and Psi Upsilon fraternities with multiple complaints of Prohibited Sales for serving alcohol to minors. Because Theta Delt and Psi U are considered organizations under state law, police will pursue felony charges against the fraternities, according to an HPD press release.

The charges follow similar actions taken against The Tabard coed organization last spring and Sigma Delta sorority earlier this fall.

The complaints were issued in response to several arrests made between Sept. 18 and 19, according to a Hanover Police press release. Investigations following the arrests revealed that both fraternities had "served or otherwise provided alcohol" to four students under the age of 21, the release said. Arraignment dates have been set, with Psi U appearing on Oct. 25 and Theta Delt on Nov. 15, according to the release.
