The Dartmouth

The DDS Detective

There are several inventions that I really define as turning points in humanity: fire, the telephone, the light bulb and mankind's pice de rsistance: Nutella. If you are one of those people who had an unfortunate childhood deprived of this delicious innovation, Nutella is essentially a chocolate-hazelnut spread that you can put on just about anything. Unfortunately, Dartmouth Dining Services dropped the ball and somehow does not have it at any of its dining locations.

But don't fear just yet, one can find big redemption in the chocolate pudding at the Hop. And while the pudding alone does taste amazing, I cannot get enough of my newest creation that brings out the best in this hidden Hop treat: chocolate toast.

  1. Order a piece of toast from the Hop (Don't worry! You don't need to wait in line you can just ask them).

  2. Get a cup of the Hop's homemade chocolate pudding from the fridge.

  3. Buy one tin of peanut butter and a packet of Oreos (the peanut butter is in the fridge with the yogurt).

  4. Spread a layer of peanut butter on the piece of toast.

  5. Spread a layer of chocolate pudding on top of that.

  6. Crumple some Oreo bits on top of the toast.

Whether it's a sweet breakfast treat or a tasty dessert, this toast is just delicious. The Hop really knows how to make pudding, and the peanut butter, chocolate and Oreo combo is a match made in heaven. Plus, you can get creative with toppings you can nix the peanut butter and sprinkle granola on top of your chocolate toast or even use cookie bits; the opportunities are endless. The only stipulation: if you don't end up using all your pudding,

DON'T throw it away. This pudding truly deserves an award and trust me, after one bite, you are going to want to thank the academy several times over.
