Editor's Note

Classes at Dartmouth seem to have tougher requirements, but those standards also vary widely: from the courses that force so many to drop the pre-med track to the overfilled distributive lectures.

So what factors determine grades, and why do we rarely discuss the results?

This week we may be looking a little girly off to the right there (you can't grade us on gender equality), but we do have another new column by Tanner Tananbaum, of I'm Tanner Than You, to tip the scales a bit.

In this issue we delve deep into the issue of grades, with no negative consequences but a little awkwardness. All I'm asking for in return are a few overheards.
