Inside this issue

So, we are paying 40,000 dollars a year to be educated. Is it really happening? We took a moment to reflect on what we remember from our classes so far. Either our memories are failing us or the system is. Or maybe it's a combo of both?

In abbreviated form, what we learned while filling distribs and searching for majors ...

EARS 6: We're causing global warming and we should stop it nowish.

WGST 10: Women are subordinated in our patriarchal society.

ASTRO 4: Supernovas are stellar explosions (courtesy of Wikipedia).

GEOG 17: The Western world is corrupting the culture of the Zambezi river basin.

SART 15: More than just drawing circles.

HIST 71: Khomeni. Bahktiari. Islamic Revolutions. Professors are cuter with bow-ties.

And, we definitely have the languages covered:

English 5: Here we definately re-learned what are high school teachers taut us.

Arabic: Salaam. (Three terms of drill ... shoof enti.)

Italian: Buon giorno principessa!

French: Salut, Nicole!

Classes that didn't really leave a mark on our memories:

ENGS 13, REL 10 ... and the ones Emma took freshman winter.

What we haven't learned yet is how to get the Swedish Fish out of the Novack vending machine without them getting stuck.

Thank God we have two more years!
