April 21, Lot 1, Downtown Hanover, 1:21 a.m.
Officers on patrol spotted a 28-year-old male sitting in a parked car who appeared to be passed out. When they approached the vehicle and awoke the Tuck Business School student, he told police that he had been too intoxicated to drive. Police said it was possible that he had decided to wait until he was sober enough, but had fallen asleep. They called Safety and Security, who placed the man in protective custody.
April 23, South Main Street, 12:21 a.m.
Safety and Security officers called Hanover police to report a male individual seen "acting suspicious" around Thayer dining hall. Police officers caught up with the 43-year-old Tuck student as he was walking down South Main Street carrying a ladder. By questioning the man, police determined he was intoxicated and then asked him where he had obtained the ladder. The man replied that he had found the ladder on the sidewalk, though it was later determined that it have been taken from one of the construction sites on-campus. The man was arrested for theft of lost or mislaid property.
April 25, Currier Place, 2:14 a.m.
Officers observed a 42-year-old male riding his bike with some difficulty. The man lost his balance and had started to fall when the police decided to check if he was intoxicated. Upon investigation, police discovered that the man was not only intoxicated, but also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for driving under the influence. The man was arrested on the basis of this existing warrant.
April 26, South Main Street, 12:23 a.m.
Police responded to the Canoe Club, where workers reported that three males of indeterminate ages were behaving in a disorderly manner. The men had left the restaurant when asked, but restaurant workers were concerned as to whether or not they would come back, which is why the police were called. The men did not return.
April 22, Fayerweather Hill Road, 2:40 a.m.
Responding to a call from Safety and Security, who had been alerted by a concerned student, police arrived at Richardson Hall to assist an ambulance with an 18-year-old male who was visiting the campus from New York, N.Y. The individual "showed signs of being highly intoxicated as well as being slightly combative" and was transported out of the building via a stretcher. He was then taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and arrested for unlawful possession and intoxication.
