A Dartmouth student called Hanover Police to report that a man matching the description of the person previously seen snooping around the River Cluster was in the woodline behind McLane Hall. By the time police arrived, the suspect had left the scene, but Safety and Security caught up to him as he was pulling his car out of the parking lot. The suspect told the police that he was visiting relatives in the area, but he refused to tell the police who the relatives were and said he was not exactly sure where they lived. He also would not say why he was behind McLane and denied ever having been in that area before. The College issued the man, who lives in New Hampshire about an hour-and-a-half drive away, a trespass letter that forbids him from coming back on campus. Police believe that this man is not the same man who discussed killing women on South Main Street with two Dartmouth students last week.
