Safety and Security called Hanover Police to report a dispute between two individuals who reportedly knew each other at Kappa Kappa Kappa fraternity, located at 1 Webster Avenue. When Hanover Police arrived on the scene, the apparent dispute had already ended. Neither of the two individuals involved, males aged 20 and 23, decided to press charges, as no one had been injured.
May 10, Dartmouth College campus, 11:55 p.m.
Hanover Police were notified of an alleged sexual assault of a female College student by a male College student, who was an acquaintance of the victim. Police declined to give greater detail of the reported incident, as they are very actively pursuing the case, which they hope to close within a week.
May 13, Curtiss Road, 8:16 a.m.
Two eight-year-old girls left the grounds of the Bernice A. Ray Elementary School, reportedly to go to the store and buy something for lunch. Officials at the girls' school called Hanover Police, who found them nearby. Police said no one will be held legally responsible for the girls' absences.
May 14, East Wheelock Street, 12:16 a.m.
Hanover Police were called by Safety and Security to assist with two uncooperative and intoxicated non-students they encountered near the flagpole on the Green. One of the individuals, an 18-year-old male from Eugene, Ore., was arrested for unlawful intoxication and possession of false identification. The female who accompanied the arrestee was of legal drinking age, although police said she was also highly uncooperative.
May 14, College and East Wheelock Streets, 10:09 a.m.
Hanover Police were advised to "be on the lookout" for a motor vehicle operating in an erratic manner. A 49-year-old male from Lebanon, in the midst of a major diabetic reaction, was found driving the wrong way around the Green. His hazardous driving did not cause any accidents.
May 14, Webster Avenue, 10:42 p.m.
A 25-year-old male alumnus was spotted by Safety and Security vomiting on the Chi Gamma Epsilon fraternity lawn at 7 Webster Avenue. Safety and Security called Hanover Police, who took the intoxicated individual into protective custody and released him to a friend.
May 15, North Main Street, 1:54 a.m.
Hanover Police found an intoxicated 21-year-old male non-student passed out on the Green. Nolan Thisen, a student at the University of San Diego, according to police, was first taken into protective custody, but was later found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest stemming from an unlawful alcohol possession charge last Green Key weekend. His failure to resolve his court process means that he is now faced with the criminal charge of failure to appear in court, which might carry a penalty of jail time.
May 16, Ivy Lane, 1:19 a.m.
Safety and Security noticed an intoxicated male non-student, who was reportedly staying with a friend from whom he was currently separated, wandering around the area of Ripley residence hall. The security agency called Hanover Police, who originally took the subject, 23-year-old Wesley Preston of New Hampshire, into protective custody. During a routine search for weapons, however, police found a small bag of marijuana on Preston's person. Preston was booked for the drugs and released on bail.
May 16, Webster Avenue, 3:31 a.m.
Police arrived at Chi Gam to investigate a noise complaint, and ended up arresting an intoxicated 19-year-old male sophomore, who appeared to "be in the wrong place at the wrong time." The individual was charged with unlawful possession by consumption. The police report is not yet finished and no more information is available.
