April 15, West Wheelock Street, 3:58 a.m.
An Hanover Police patrol officer observed an SUV driving with a broken headlight along West Wheelock Street. Upon investigation, the officer detected the aroma of alcohol emanating from the vehicle, although the driver himself was not intoxicated. The officer also noticed the truck contained assorted items from various Greek houses on campus. Intoxicated underage passengers were arrested and a search warrant was obtained for the trunk.
An investigation revealed that the group of eight Middlebury male students in the car were circulating around campus Wednesday night and Thursday morning in order to steal composites and trophies from Greek houses and signage from around campus in what police termed "some sort of scavenger hunt."
The eight were charged promptly with theft, in addition to those already charged with illegal possession. Over the next two days, police contacted the Greek houses to return the stolen property.

Hanover police encountered an intoxicated 20-year-old Middlebury male student from Massachusetts who had become separated from the group of eight. Those in jail were attempting to contact this individual in order to make bail, but instead an investigation revealed that he too was involved with the thefts. The last male was charged with illegal possession of alcohol and theft as well.

April 15, North Main Street, 3:45 a.m.
Safety and Security called Hanover police for assistance with locating an intoxicated female on campus. Safety and Security encountered an intoxicated male and female walking together and approached them, but the female, described as 5-feet 8-inches to 5-feet 9-inches wearing a dark fleece and jeans, ran from custody.
The incident didn't generate a charge from Hanover Police, as Safety and Security was able to identify the female and handle the situation themselves.
