The Price of a Discount

To the Editor:

In response to Ray Hood, Jr.'s letter in September 26th's issue of The Dartmouth, "A Hop Divided" -- specifically the quip "Some could say we should be lucky to live next to an institution that has the means to attract national acts and recording artists, instead of having to travel to Boston or New York to see them, but why pass off the cost to just one segment of the audience?" I should like to point out to other community members of like mind that the "other" segment to which Mr. Hood refers pays over $30,000 a year for the "privilege" of purchasing discounted Hopkins Center tickets.
