Jacque Weitzel '00 earned the Ivy League's Offensive Player of the Week award on Monday after leading the No. 2 Big Green women's lacrosse team to its fourth consecutive Ivy Championship.
Last week, the Annapolis native blasted 13 goals and registered three assists in two key Ivy matches against Harvard and Princeton.
The Big Green went on to prevail over the Crimson and the Tigers.
The senior had a career day against the Crimson as she notched eight goals, while assisting on the game-winning goal.
At Princeton, Weitzel put five goals in the net, including a game-winning tally in overtime. She also forced a turnover with 30 seconds left in regulation to set up a game-tying goal by Amy Zimmer '01.
With three games left in the season, the midfielder needs nine points to surpass Lauren Holleran's all-time school points record (243). Weitzel has 235 career points (188g, 47a). Another six goals will also break Holleran's goals record of 193.
The midfielder currently leads the nation with goals scored per game. Through Sunday, she has averaged 4.67 goals-per-game in 12 games. She is also ranked second in points-per-game with 5.50. Weitzel has been awarded the honor twice this season.
Weitzel's teammate Kate Graw '00 captured the League's Honor Roll after a six-goal performance last week. She dashed out five against Harvard.
The senior defenseman is ranked fifth in the nation with points-per-game (4.67) and 13th in assists-per-game (1.75).
Goalkeeper Sarah Hughes '02 also deserves some attention.
The Broomall, Pa. native leads the nation with a .668 save percentage. She was fifth in goals-against-average (7.17).
Dartmouth finished the Ivy season with a perfect 7-0 record, while outscoring the opponents 107-48.
The Big Green will host Duke on Friday and North Carolina on Sunday at Sculy-Fahey Field.
