Athlete of the Week

It's not easy replacing an All-Ivy League kicker who set both league and school records over his career.

But junior Adam Csizinsky's 22-yard game-winning field goal in overtime demonstrated that the junior has emerged out of the shadow of Dave Regula '98.

He has also turned into one of the Big Green's most reliable players.

Csizinsky -- or Csiz as his teammates call him -- kicked two key field goals in the 13-10 win over Lafayette on Saturday. While his overtime kick was a chip shot, it was a pressure filled attempt.

"I was just glad that Coach Lyons had the confidence in me to kick the ball," he said. "I knew that I would make it if I got the opportunity."

His first kick of the game was masterful, as he split the uprights from 39 yards out, although the kick had the distance to be good from at least 50 yards or so.

"Warming up I felt that I was going to have a good day," Csizinsky said.

"Csizinsky did a great job and came through when we needed him," Lyons said.
