Women's Lacrosse faces Penn

The women's lacrosse team looks for their eighth straight win as they host the Penn Quakers tomorrow at noon at Chase Field.

The Big Green, ranked No. 9 in the country, currently are tied atop the league standings with Princeton, who is ranked sixth in the nation.

Dartmouth will have the services of potential All-American Jacque Weitzel '00, who sat out Wednesday's game against Vermont with sore shin splints. Weitzel leads the Ivy League in scoring with 19 points. She was named Ivy offensive player of the week for her efforts last week while Kate Graw '00 earned defensive player of the week honors for her play against Brown and Cornell.

This weekend's matchup against the Quakers is Dartmouth's last home game before taking to the road for two key games against Harvard and Princeton. Their performance in the next three games will not only decide the Ivy title and its automatic berth into the NCAA tournament but a possible at-large berth into the tournament as well.

Penn enters the game with a 2-2 record in league play and a 4-4 record overall. The Quakers posted wins over Columbia and Harvard, but lost to both Cornell and Yale, whom the Big Green beat earlier this season.
