Track and Field hosts UVM, UNH
The Big Green track and field team will host its first home meet of the outdoor season when tri-state rivals Vermont and New Hampshire come to Memorial Field on Saturday morning.
With the Penn Relays, the largest track meet on the East Coast looming in just over two weeks, the team's elite willl be looking to try and earn spots in Philadelphia. For the rest of the team, tomorrow's meet is a chance to qualify for future meets such as the Heptagonal championships in just over a month.
Neither the Dartmouth men or women enter the meet as the favorites. The top men's field athletes are competing in Tennessee, while the women face strong competition from UVM and UNH.
"It should be a competitive meet because this is always a great rivalry," Alisa Antkowiak '99 said. "We are just excited for the chance to compete and hope to step it up and prove just how well we can do. As long as we put together a solid performance, we will be happy."
