The Dartmouth

Athlete of the Term

Her name has been permanently engraved in the Dartmouth College women's hockey record books for many years to come. She is one of only two players this season who were repeat selections on the All-Ivy League First Team. She has been Dartmouth's top scorer (22 g, 21 a - 43 p) the past three seasons. However all of the honors and awards which have come the way of Sarah Hood '98 must pale in comparison to the one with which she is being blessed with today. Sarah Hood is The Dartmouth's Winter Athlete of the Term.

She is the talk of the press box whenever she touches ice and as one of the team's tri-captains, she has led the Big Green to the ECAC semifinals to be played this Saturday.

In addition, she led the team in powerplay goals with nine and currently sits at number four in career points with 147 and at number five in career goals with 73.

She has been the team leader on and off the ice all year scoring the game-winning goal against Providence in the last regular season game, a 3-2 win.

Her intensity is unmatched around the league, and she will be sorely missed by her teammates and the community after the team's postseason run ends.
